Heat shield on splash protector

The rear splash protector has a heat shield on it where the exhaust distribution tube passes very near. The heat shield looks like a fibre glass matt with metal foil on it. I can not find this part anywhere in the parts microfiches. My dealer suggested that the previous owner perhaps installed it an...

Re: Cuts out from time to time

I have/had the same problem lately: - pulling the clutch (without giving it throtthle) and engine dies - twitching the throttle quickly and very shortly: engine dies also very unstable running when idling and even then the engine often died (increasing idle rpm -> this was less of a problem) I am do...

Re: So you want to own a KTM 950 Super Enduro?

For sure not 200 produced, that's way too low. I think KTM was allowed to produce a maximum of 5000. Worldwide that is. If they reached the number of 5000 is unknown to me. I think there were also at least 2/3 production runs: - 2006/2007 years - 2008 (with minor differences in parts you can find in...

Re: Engine oil for SE

The SE should get 10W50 according to the owners manual? (unless very cold weather) If it is a fully synthetic 4 stroke oil from Motorex suitable for wet clutch and from the correct viscosity, you should be fine. The differences between those mutual oils are minimal. Power Synth 4T has viscosities of...

SE with sidecar
