SE owner looking for Husky help

Post by Power Slider » Mon Oct 02, 2017 5:30 pm

Does anyone know an owner of a 2017 Husqvarna FE501 "EU" version???

Since this site gets international traffic, I thought I'd ask for help here.

I live in the USA and need some help locating an owner of a 2017 Husqvarna FE501 EU version in hopes of obtaining a part I can't purchase in the USA.

My country's Environmental Protection Agency has clamped down on KTM/Husky selling an ECU that will allow my 501 to run full power.

I need to locate someone with an EU version FE501 Vehicle Identification Number that will help me purchase an "EU" version ECU from across the pond.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks mates!

are you on ktmforum.co.uk? If yes, seek out "Kevin in Yorks" - he's very resourceful and may be able to assist...he doesn't have a 501 but has access to unicorn dust and fairy juice to go with his voodoo magic...

Also, check to see if the US and Canadian versions of the ECU are different. If the Canadian version is the same as the European, I've got a close friend who is a husqvarna dealer in Toronto and may be able to help.

If you can find the part in the UK I'm happy to sort out a purchase and forward it on. Let me know if that helps you at all.

Alon, US and Canadian versions are identical, as the North American version. Your lead helped me discover a couple of attractive options. Thanks, again!

Jez, thanks for your willingness to help out!

...very gracious, boys! Thanks so much!

If you ever get to the western US, look me up. We'll ride the good stuff!
