Site traffic here...

Post by Alon » Mon Jan 16, 2017 1:35 pm

Am I missing something or did everyone disappear from here at the end of December? There seems to be zero site traffic here since 2016...

Where is everyone and why aren't we actively discussing our SEs?

One word - DAKAR

Well for me anyway 1st 2 weeks of the year its all about Dakar.

That and its bloody miserable in europe so not many people out.

Actually were not a huge traffic site, the registration is a bit of a pain which is good and bad, tends to attract real enthusiasts and serious SE owners rather that day dreamers and spammers!

Very reliant on an active community, tends to get going more from spring onwards. Guess people are not giving there SE's much love at the moment.

Might send an email to the database reminding people we are here.

Well, we are also celebrating Dakar here in Canada and the weather is totally miserable - in my mind, both good reasons to drive site activity. Let's wake people up - The off season is for projects, questions, maintenance and other bullshit.

I assume many people here are also on advrider as there's a massive SE contingency on there but some of the posts and info get lost in all the noise and this site is vey focused. Let me know what I can do to help drive activity.

Yep lets do that, will kick off a tyre thread :)

However you want to help would be always welcome, it costs me to keep the site running so it would be nice for it to get more use! Not that its much.

Also any suggestions for topics, I think we should have a tyre thread, suspension thread, what would people like to see on here?

Prob not the proper forum, but I'd be happy to debate how and why Trump is going to SAVE the United States of America.

Let's stick to the SE. It's safer that way.

I just finished 3 long days riding the California desert and will post up some tire/suspension thoughts when I return home.

Ok no politics on the site, its probably the only rule :D

PowerSlider would be good to know suspension findings, I think we need a suspension thread.

Alon, yes places to ride in surrey and salisbury plain not far but its not great and fragmented between lanes. On the plus side you are closer to morocco!

I recently fitted an external tripmaster controler on my bike, after reading different threads on AdvRider I finally managed to wire it up. Does anybody else use the KTM three button unit ?

I'm going to make my own with three momentary switches like on that thread on advrider. The KTM tripmaster unit doesn't appeal to me.

Dear Members

Very new here and very excited to have acquired an SE. Is there a possible link to a workshop manual anywhere? I have downloaded an owners manual already.
