950 in Hare Scramble

Post by SpeedyR » Tue Aug 20, 2013 2:47 am

why let the little bikes have all the fun? local off road riding park had a Hare Scramble race last December. I had only had my SE for a few weeks at that point so figured go big or go home, right? they had an V-twin class, so myself and another guy on an SE (he has since sold his) and another guy on an HP2e were in our own class.

I got a bit of mud on the lens at the start and I had the GoPro on my chest, so the angles are a bit off but it's still fun to watch. well most of it. almost tossed it away on the MX track (stay away from the edges when you are jumping/landing, it's too soft for a 400+lb bike). still fun. I wasn't very aggressive in passing/riding but really had a good time. Supposedly another one on Sunday September 29th at Highland Park Resort in Georgia, USA if anyone else has an SE or big ADV bike they want to run!

Great effort and shows the benifits of useing a steering damper.
Also liked the fact that you hardly used any throttle, all low down pull.
