Side stand re-locator

Post by Wilso » Sun Nov 25, 2012 5:54 pm

Essential modification is the side stand as standard it is bolted on to the engine casing. I went for Charlie's Side Stand relocation bracket which is dead easy to fit and stops it bolting directly to the casing.

Can be found here http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/adventure/911 ... cater.html.

There are others as well like the CJ Designs one http://www.cjdesignsllc.com/products/kt ... n-bracket/

Black Dog one here and it's been tested :) . TBH I think they all do the same job with pro's / con's for each.

cheers

I have Charlies - so far so good.

I also have a brand new, unused, still in it's wrapper Black Dog relocator which I would sell if anyone needs one.

I've got one of Charlie's Re-Locators on my SE, it was one of the first prototypes.....not checked for a few years now....must be good. ;)

I ordered one up but when it arrived and I got the spanners out for my 950 SM I notived that its solid enough to break tyre beads with the stand as it is, looks like they may have put an extra bracket from the rear engine mounting bolt to the frame so I sent it back check first to save you time
