Aftermarket SE Seats

Post by Beer » Mon Oct 06, 2014 3:09 pm

I have the stocker - which i took an inch off the foam about 4 years ago when i was using it for rallies etc.....

not doing rallies anymore so looking to get it a bit more comfy.....after a few hours even with cycling shorts on my arse is 'feeling it' when i'm doing road work:D....off road its fine i'm stood up anyway...but it's mostly doing road work at the moment......

i actually have a brand new cover to go on the stock seat as the original has torn - so i could maybe put some more foam back in it - who/where could i get this done.... or even insert some gel before recovering it??? again thoughts /ideas welcome

or possibly may need to look at a completely new gel seat - just done a quick search on gel seats and this bad boy came up -

http://www.saddlemen.com/adventure-trac ... enduro-ktm

going to be pricey by the time i get it to the UK.....so whats the alternatives....

I've been looking for a seat myself, got close to clicking the buy it now on one of the saddlemen seats myself! they look pretty good to me and i like the raised rear seat pad bit.
From the rally forum:
RK leighton
unit 3 partridge court
price street b ham

or maybe Tony Archer

The fantastic http://www.renazco.com/

Cm seats in Coventry http://www.cmseats.com/

Tony archer has been making seats for ever, total artist from what I've heard

got to be worth a punt....maybe we could get a few people interested in UK?....include the adventure riders to make up some numbers...

You're good at sorting out a group buy.....do you want to make some enquiries ;) ?

I might be interested in a group deal, need to sort out what seat i want, something like the saddlemen job fits the bill i think, i would use that for road trips and the standard one if i rally it or off road only type stuff.
