SE from Lithuania

Post by HUSKY26 » Wed Jun 08, 2016 6:48 pm

Could you guys tell me if using a Rottweiler air filtre un muddy and wet conditions is an issue?
I ride most of the time in dry and dusty trails, but I am still reluctant on using one in humide conditions!!

I think nothing special, when you ride in muddy condition with Rottweiler unless you didn't deep water crossings. Filter is hidden deep under tank. But in past days I rode not often, so can't say about this problem from practice.

What fuel pump you running with the new tank?

Could be any of the following

Regulator rectifier getting too hot and giving up
Duff battery esp is running a lithium one
Point on fuel pump if stock being used.
Pinched fuel line
New tank creating vacuum

It is the mc of mc  8-)

Reason is absolutely funny and simple. Before obstacle I usualy stand up and regroup to rear, to take weight from motorcycles front. Then my heel touches side stand and activate that stupid protection. Silly function in this kind of motorcycle

I saw your video. It sounded electrical and not fuel related because it stalled quickly. Did not sound like a starvation or flooding issue. Glad you found it. You can remove that safety switch.

Hi Tomas, You either get rid of that safety switch or check if the switch has loosend, that' s what happened to me.
Every time I stood up, my heel was pushing the side stand down and it made contact at the switch, cutting the engine !!!
I finally realized the switch had moved upwards and made contact very quickly!!
